Hello!
Hey! Thanks for joining us at OPAT. You can register on our forum with virtually any username, we just ask that you change your display name to the format of first m. last. It just looks neater that way! We’re all super friendly so if you have an issue doing that (or you can’t figure it out!) just pm a member of staff.
We are an intermediate level role-play site, so we request that you’re able to post a minimum of two hundred words per post.

What’s Happening?!
It would be REALLY beneficial to you to read the full plot and the setting, both of which you can find links to in the side bar. This post-Potter rp takes place WAY in the future, 2243 to be exact. Muggles and Wizards are well aware of one another, and while this is the case, muggle tech is still not widely used in the castle.

We’re kinda rated PG-13.
Proboards Terms of Service has a pg-13 rating, so we’re going to abide by that pg-13 rating. That means references to sex, drugs, alcohol, etc are minimized as much as possible (if it’s necessary, please fade to black!). We’re putting this in the rules because if anyone’s caught doing any of these things and not fading to black, you are jeopardizing your time on the site, as well as the site’s lifespan in general.

What about a faceclaim, huh?
Honestly, one of my favorite parts of character creation. You can always ask one of us on staff, because again, we’re more than willing to help you out (as well as other members, of course). Now, we do accept students that are in their earlier years at Hogwarts, but child playbys are not okay. What is okay, then, you ask? Actors, musicians, models- no youtubers or myspacers or people from your real life, okay?
We’ll seldom ask you to change your playby- there are exceptions to this rule though, of course. If you’re using Adriana Lima as a 5th year, we’ll ask you to change it. If it’s someone that’s already claimed by a different member, yeah, we’ll ask you to change and probably direct you to the face claim list. If you need help, ask!

We’re all friends here, alright?
Discrimination will not be tolerated. This is another thing that will jeopardize your time on our site.

So you want more characters?
We love when you want to make more characters! But the problem we’ve seen on other sites (and in our own pockets, of course) is when you make too many characters and aren’t able to keep up with them all. We just ask that you have at least five posts with your previously made character before we will accept a second, and so on, and so forth.
I know how easy it can be to make Gary and Mary Sue’s, or use characters that were created for other fandoms. Come on! The point is to make your character super original. Not every character is the best at their favorite sport, or incredibly smart, or nice to every single person. We all have flaws, so we kinda expect your characters to, too.

So, in conclusion...
I just want to wrap up this drag of rules... Rules aren't fun but we gotta put them in place so people know what's up! So here's the sitch. We're an intermediate roleplay with a minimum of 200 words per post. We're a SUPER futuristic Harry Potter forum, so we won't have any Potters and minimal Weasleys, before you ask. first m. last is what you want to set your username to once you create your account. Oh, and you're probably going to want to remember sherbet lemon. We're a pg-13 rated site, we don't tolerate any bullying and don't really want any cliques as far as members go, and we LOVE that you want to make more characters, just heed our guidelines above, and everything will be savvy, alright, mate?
