ALICE RAINE LA BELLE
This is ALICE LA BELLE who is a GIRL, and a GRYFFINDOR. She is SEVENTEEN years old, a MUGGLEBORN, and has a habit of looking a bit like OLIVIA HOLT.
Played by CRICKET, who has SEVEN YEARS of rp experience.
”This is the beginning of anything you want.”
Alexandre and Erica’s love story is something right out of a romance movie, but if you care to read about that you can take a look at Alice’s sister’s history. Just about everything about Annika had been Alice’s as well, actually. The two shared a birthday, a face, clothes, and for a while, a personality. They were always quite different in true personality of course, but they learned how to emulate one another. Alice often had her most fun pretending she was Annika. And while Alice was a fairly rambunctious child, she always took Annika’s lead without even a question of it. The two were inseparable.
”A spark to force your own ignition”
Life seemed to flash by, and the twins stayed together. Alice watched life pass as Annika became the favorite child. Well, maybe not actually, but Alice couldn’t be convinced otherwise; Her poor academic performance paled in comparison to Annika’s. Even when she tried, she was mediocre at best and often that was a stretch. She passed her classes, but just barely - no matter how much she genuinely liked learning. But school was teaching her the wrong things. Science experiments bored her if they lacked explosions, math frustrated her - She liked history and language, but even in those classes she just couldn’t make her grades reflect her interest. Eventually Alice convinced herself she was just a less successful mirror of Annika. She was the dumb twin.
In an effort to make herself feel different than Annika, Alice began taking on new interests practically every month. Annika was still her best friend but Alice was determined to be unique from her. One month she might be into athletics, then the next two it’s creatures, and perhaps after that she’ll pick up some comic books. This cycle continued for a while and really didn’t settle down until her mid teens.
Even despite her frustration with herself, Alice was learning to love life. When the Hogwarts letters came and they were sorted into Gryffindor (both of them, thankfully!) Alice was ready for her new adventure - she was always the adventurous type, no matter what her current interest was. She made her favorite memories rather quickly in Hogwarts, and in that environment soon learned that she could be her own person. Always a bit of a troublemaker, Alice made a habit of familiarizing herself with the rules so that she could bend them in every way possible. But she’d never get in trouble. In fact, she was always on her best, most lady-like behavior, at least when authoritative eyes were on her! At other times, not so much. Slowly but surely, Alice came out of her shell. When once she would’ve stuck by Annika’s side and lead, she started to make her own friends and plans, and she decided she’d be important, someday somehow. But with her growing expectations for herself, the insecurities grew as well. So while Alice might be an amiable individual, watch your step when you criticize her. She’s not the greatest at admitting her own faults.
While Alice came into her own as a person, she stuck head and heart by her sister. Nothing could come between them, not even their occasional petty fights. But Alice made friends, while Annika didn’t. Going into their sixth and seventh years, Alice came out of her socially reserved demeanor and made herself a flood of friends, which left her less time for Annika. Among these friends was Elias Whitcombe...
”Ali, you’re dear to me”
Nothing could get between the twins, surely? Especially not a boy. Alice had merely made a new best friend, specifically a second best friend since Annika would always be her true best friend. Alice and Elias got along like two peas in a pod… Unfortunately, Elias and Annika did not. Alice tried to get her sister and friend to cooperate, but it didn’t go well. When the arguments started, Alice retreated to Elias’ side and inadvertently drove wedges into her and Annika’s relationship. Even worse, she was happy about just about everything in her life except for that. Life was finally going well for Alice! Everything working out in her favor except for everything with Annika, who had turned into someone Alice barely recognized. Though perhaps the same could be said for herself as well.
”I dare you to survive being grown for the rest of your life”
Alice might never have been a perfect child (or adolescent), but she had fun. Even as her interests came and went, she kept on playing her pranks and bending the rules. Of course, she was a master of acting all proper and “Lady-Like” when the situation called for it, but that was not quite how she was. She’s sort of the innocent type, unsure about the world of anything she deems “adult”, but she just sees that as a new adventure and if there’s one thing Alice is always up for, it is an adventure. She can’t pick her career goals, but she has an ever expanding list and a whole ton of drive to at least do something with her life.
