béatriz faline meadows the basics full name • Béatriz Faline Meadows nicknames • Bea age • eighteen birthday • September 1st occupation • quidditch player house • Hufflepuff gender • female sexuality • heterosexual blood status • half-blood the appearance face claim • Holland Roden height and weight • 5’7 - - 117 lbs identifying features • Bea has a light dousing of freckles across her shoulders, a café-au-lait birthmark on her right hip, and has three piercings in her ears, and a belly-button piercing. overall appearance • Bea has never been a tomboy, per say, but she also hadn’t ever been the type of girl to wear dresses and heels, either. In her youth she’d put on whatever her mother lay out on her bed, even though it would probably end up with some sort of stain on it later from Bea’s carelessness. As she’s grown, she’s come up with a style all her own and pulls it off with grace, ignoring peoples’ comments of her attention-seeking attitude. Bea tends to wear a lot of black, or grey. She likes dresses now, so long as they aren’t in loud patterns or covered in lace, and stay along the lines of her dark colored theme. She likes to pair her dresses with leggings and tights, and tops it off with a pair of combat style boots on her feet. Bea is a tight pants kind of girl, but she doesn’t wear t-shirts. She likes button up shirts and cardigans, and rarely, tank tops. As of late she’s gotten attune to the wonderful world of high heels, and her favorite jacket (which you’ll never see her without) is a leather one, moto style, with the zipper on the front, but off to the side. the personality likes • Changing her hair. She’s also afraid of boats and swimming. overall personality • Bea is a mildly intelligent, loyal, hardworking former Hufflepuff. But you can’t just take her and put her neatly into a box- no. She’s ferocious when it comes to defending her family and friends, flirtatious when it comes to guys she finds attractive (and when she wants to get her way), and don’t forget the classic redheaded temper. She works hard; she always pushes herself so she can be the best she can be (and perhaps better than her perfect sister). She’s kind of a bitch, kind of a troublemaker, more of a realist than anything else. It won’t be easy to tell she cares for you, but when she does, it’s quite powerful. the history father • Marcus Noel Meadows, 46, banker mother • Sandrine Aria, 45, healer siblings • Anabelle, 22. Clea, 17. Elodie, 16. important people/pets • a snow owl named Calliope hometown • Godric’s Hollow overall history •Anabelle was a mistake. That's probably not a good way to start out a story, but it's the god-awful truth and while Marcus and Sandrine tried to make the best of it, it was hard. Sandrine spent countless hours (her sixteen year old self) at her mother's house, learning how to be a mother. Sandrine had been in a large family of six kids, but the baby of the family and born six years after her next sibling. Marcus was eighteen at the time, and they had just been kids messing around, not thinking that they could get into the kind of trouble that would lead to a baby... but they did, and Anabelle was born. While disappointed, Sandrine's mother helped her daughter and when she turned eighteen, Marcus proposed and with his semi-decent job was able to take care of Sandrine and Anabelle. While the two hadn't been madly in love when they'd had Anabelle, their love grew over the years. The more Marcus did for her and the baby, the more Sandrine opened herself up to him, and vice versa. They were learning so much from each other, and Sandrine was even able to finish school, and within four years of being married, their second child, our darling Bea, was born. Ana hadn't been fond of her younger sister at first, jealous to a fault that her six years of being an only child were coming to an end. But it was a hate that wouldn't ever see the light of day- their parents never knew and she only ever tortured Bea. And then Clea, and then Elodie. They all got it, and heaven forbid they said anything to their parents- Anabelle was too perfect to be that mean. The girls had plenty of cousins. Most of them were around Ana's age or older... leaving the three babies to be the black sheep of the family. Ellie and Clea were happy to indulge their elder cousins' whims of taking care of them like they were dolls, but Bea hated being treated like a child, and found herself backing out of playtime regularly, finding more fun digging her heels in the dirt on the hand-me-down broom she got once her parents realized she had magic, just like Ana. She felt lucky that she didn't have to spend too much time with her sister though the year as she got older- Ana had gone to Hogwarts when Bea was four and she spent most of her childhood bossing Clea and Ellie around. They fought, like sisters do, but were always there for each other. They didn't exactly see eye-to-eye when it came to Ana though- Bea resented the fact that Ana seemed so perfect with her glossy blonde hair and perfect grades, as if she were doing it to make her sisters look bad. A wrong assumption, of course, and Clea and Ellie were readily willing and able to point that out to her, but she ignored them most of the time. Bea had always been a handful. She loved attention. She loved putting on shows for and playing pranks on her cousins, aunts, and uncles. There wasn’t any of this, ‘little girls should be seen and not heard’ business when it came to Béatriz… if she were around, everyone would see and hear her. There was also the question of Marcus’ wolfish habits. Now, he wasn’t a werewolf by any means, but he did have a liking for rare meat. When Bea had found out about why- because seriously, who likes raw meat? She drew a few outrageous conclusions about her father being a werewolf, and had probably told a person or two that he was one. Who could keep track? But, the point was, that because she had created such a fantastical vision of her father, and wanted to be just like him, she’d adopted his taste for rare meat and had even started getting a little agitated when the moon would reach its fullest point (of course, one could argue that most children get hyper during the course of a full moon). For a while in her youth, she only wanted to eat her food under the table like the wolves would do it. Of course, it was a major relief when the redhead grew out of that habit. When Bea was heading to Hogwarts for the first time, one year after her last cousin, Ana was heading into her seventh year. She was doing special studies to become an auror and her younger sister was just starting school. Their parents thought Ana would take care of Bea- assumptions wrong, of course. Ana was a Ravenclaw and dove into her studies like a fish finding water, and Bea had been sorted into Hufflepuff, where she found her home almost immediately. She was the first and only Meadows to get sorted into Hufflepuff, and while she had been annoyed at yet another reason to be a black sheep, she loved it. She didn't have to be near any of her cousins and was free to do as she pleased without someone in her house telling someone she was related to. Even her baby sisters weren't sorted into Hufflepuff, and while she would have enjoyed their company (since she had easily grown up with them) she didn't mind. They would get their own friends, too. It was about her third year, though, when she started to realize what a slacker that everyone thought she was. Well, she always knew it, but, it was at this point that she realized that wasn’t the kind of person she was. While she continued spending most of her time with her friends, she would take along her homework and try and catch up on it while they hung out, eager to prove herself. She realized that she wasn’t a lazy person- she just didn’t like school. It didn’t come easy for her, but she also didn’t want to be tsk’d the next time she got her essays returned to her. Bea’s grades gradually got better. She adopted fantastic leadership skills and her ambition was wildly evident as she grew older, especially up into her sixth, and now seventh, years. In her fourth year, she tried out for the quidditch team (she’d always been an avid flier) and made it, the first half of the season as a reserve beater. Halfway through her teammate broke his wrist and she was thrust into the fantastic world of actual quidditch (not just playing around with her cousins) and she loved it. She continued playing through the years, balancing her grades with her social life and her quidditch passion, and finally in her seventh year of Hogwarts, she was named captain. Finally, she had something that she could be proud of. Bea had always been a black sheep when it came to her family. Not only her immediate family- she was the only one of her siblings to have red hair- but also with her extended family as well. She always felt as though she didn’t fit, and as she got older, not only did she become more academically and physically inclined, she also got quieter at family functions, and definitely more broody. She wore a lot of black and chose combat style boots over her usual flats. Her muggle friends, which she’d acquired through summers away from Hogwarts, pressured her into getting her ears pierced (the lobes and the top) and her belly button, and she’d started wearing more eye makeup. This, however, was not another stunt. With her growth, her style changed too. Her family hated it, but she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself. Bea has since graduated Hogwarts, being drafted immediately out of school as a beater for the Chudley Cannons. She had a minor influx of thought where she wondered if becoming a healer like her mother would do more good for the world, but quidditch did good for the world, too. She’s been working hard and waiting along the waves for something to happen in the world- currently it’s nothing but eat, sleep, and quidditch. the role player alias • ella age • 25 pronouns • she/her code • admin edit other characters • none yet |
