ANNIKA SAGE LA BELLE the basics full name • Annika Sage La Belle nicknames • Annie (by Alice only) age • seventeen birthday • July 15th occupation • student house • gryffindor gender • female sexuality • hetero. blood status • muggleborn the appearance face claim • Olivia Holt height and weight • 5’3 - - 115 lbs identifying features • For her seventeenth birthday, she got herself a tattoo on the inside of her wrist – she and her sister had always joked at the concept of getting sister tattoos but she actually went through with it. She also has her ears pierced once in each lobe. overall appearance • Always the more broody of the twins, Annika hasn’t, as of late, given off the most friendly vibe. She’s pretty enough, she’s smart enough, and has impeccable taste when it comes to her wardrobe. She’s not very tall, only five foot three, and a willowy thing, if someone so short could be considered “willowy.” She has long fingers, great for playing an instrument if she had the talent, a smile that could dazzle crowds if she’d ever show her teeth, and the body, fit, slim and limber, of a dancer. One might think she doesn’t eat given her lack of shape, but she almost always has a stash of lemon drops in one of her added-in pockets of her dresses. the personality likes • cats, parties, having a good time, her sister (most of the time), reading, leading, being put in charge of things, ballet. dislikes • lying, keeping secrets, breaking away from her twin, people telling her to smile, too much sunshine, cold coffee, abstract art. strengths • realistic, intelligent, logical, creative, exciting, daring, brave. weaknesses • easily bored, jealous, apathetic, sucker for heroes. dreams • Annika wants to be in charge of something- a revolution? A wedding for royalty? She can’t be sure yet, but plans are her forte and that’s what she wants. fears • Losing Alice. overall personality • Annika had always been the front-running twin. Always making all the decisions, always telling people what to do, always overreacting. She has been told she’s obnoxious, pretentious, impulsive, and cheeky- always saying and doing what’s on the tip of her tongue. She doesn’t care much what other people think of her and is kind of harsh… at least, she was. Before Alice made new friends and left her. Annika’s sass became more inward and she became more withdrawn, being the student that the teachers relished having in class rather than the one constantly getting sent to the headmaster’s office. She seems grumpier now- but she’s trying to bring back her image… at least a little bit. the history father • Alexandre La Belle, 36, writer. mother • Erica Watson, 37, florist. siblings • Alice Raine, 17, Gryffindor. important people/pets • a white cat named Nostalgia. hometown • Nice, France ; London overall history • Alexandre and Erica had been one of those annoyingly perfect couples from the moment that they met. A love story began while Erica had been reading in a Parisian café while she was on summer holiday. Alexandre, a writer even at sixteen, had been intrigued by her choice of novel and wished to discuss it with her- but not because of the novel, but because he’d been mesmerized by the face just barely peeking over the cover. At the end of their conversation, Erica had unabashedly asked him on a date, and he’d accepted. They were inseparable the entire holiday, and wrote each other constantly while they were apart. At the end of school, they knew they were to be together and married, much to their parents’ dismay (due to their ages, of course) and their love spawned not one blonde angel, but two. Annika and Alice- born and lived their early years in the painfully gorgeous city of Nice, France, spoiled out their ears and seemingly quite advanced, even for toddlers. They were named Annika, for the ending of their mother’s name, and Alice, for the beginning of their father’s. Their parents wanted to have a big family- but expenses (and an unfortunate uproot to the UK when Erica’s mother became ill) caused plenty of stress on the couple, and Erica was deemed unable to have any more children. She might have wept over it, but one would never know because she never let anyone see her cry. Besides, she had twins to take care of, and they weren’t getting calmer as they got older- if anything, they were getting more boisterous. At least, Annika was. Annika had been the bossy kid on the playground, telling other kids what to do and making sure Alice was at the helm of whatever plan she cooked up. Alice had always been quiet, and Annika used that to her advantage, most times. The two were inseparable- completely identical and impossible to tell apart. They’d learned each others’ mannerisms, slang, and even wore each others’ clothes (or rather, Annika would throw clothes at Alice because she wasn’t a fan of the girl’s taste). They were definitely the type of twins to do things for the other one, and have yet to get caught. Even though the muggles knew about the wizarding world, it still came as a surprise when Annika and Alice were sent letters of acceptance into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Still, their parents had been floored with excitement at the prospect of learning first hand about this new world, and proud of their daughters for being even more special than they'd originally thought. Alice was sorted (by alphabetization, not by age as Annika liked to point out) into Gryffindor, and then Annika followed immediately after, the sorting had not even resting atop her head before he said it. Attached at the hip, I tell you. The twins had always said it was them against the world- that they’d never lose each others’ friendship and that no person (boys included!) would get in the way of their relationship. But Alice had. Annika didn’t have anything against Elias, other than the fact that he had a certain annoying disregard for any and all rules, and that he was taking all of Alice’s attention away from her. Alice was breaking off, and Annika did not like that. How could she be anything without her first in command? Annika couldn’t lead without her wing woman. Boarding school (even for witches!) was hard when your best friend was your twin and you hadn’t really been kind enough to make any real friends. Her natural jealousy got the best of her and she withdrew, becoming a model student and the type of homebody that her parents were trying to get rid of. Hogwarts didn’t seem to mind, though- Annika was awarded the privilege of prefect for her seventh year, and hopes that this year will be the one she figures out her goals, now that she doesn’t have Alice to lay them out for her. the role player alias • ella age • 25 pronouns • she/her code • admin edit other characters • grace f. meadows , gabriella e. ivanova , nadia i. ivanova |
